Trip Itinerary


Jan 7-11 Shanghai
  • Fly out of LAX 11:30am
  • Arrive Shanghai 7:30pm Jan 8th
  • Ride the Bullet Train (200mph+)
  • Look thru the glass floor in the 1500 ft tall Oriental Pearl Tower
  • Walk "the Bund", then recover with a martini in the rooftop terrace at M on the Bund
  • See the Shanghai museum
  • Shop the Dongtai Road street market
  • Eat the world famous Din Tai Fung dumplings
  • See the Shanghai Acrobatics show
  • Cruise the Huangpu River
  • Fly to Beijing 1:15pm Jan 11

Jan 11-13 Beijing 
  • Visit the Great Wall of China, then ride the toboggan down from the top
  • Walk Tianimain Square, then into the Forbidden City
  • A ricksha ride thru the narrow alleys of Beijing's Hutong Village
  • Lunch with a local family at their house
  • Learn how to drink tea at a Chinese Tea House
  • Fly to Changsha 5:15pm Jan 13

Jan 13-18 Changsha
  • Settle in our hotel to prepare for the big day
  • Jan 14th GOTCHA DAY we get Chloe today!!
  • finalize paperwork at the Civil Affairs Office
  • Bond with Chloe
  • Do some local sightseeing
  • Go visit her orphanage, and meet her caregivers
  • Get Chloe's passport, then fly to Guangzhou Jan 18


Jan 18-24 Guangzhou
  •  Medical appointment for Chloe
  • Visa photo
  • Shopping at Liwan Plaza
  • Group picture (with all the other adoptive families)
  • Visit the Xiangjiang Safari Park
  • See the Chang Long International Circus
  • Dinner cruise on the Pearl River
  • Shopping on Shamian Island
  • Fly back to Shanghai 7:35am Jan 24

Jan 24 Shanghai
  • Rest
  • Last minute shopping
  • Fly back to the US 9:45pm Jan 24
  • Arrive at LAX 5:15pm Jan 24
